I’ve recently had several people requesting Skin So Soft bath oil, but not too take a bath.
Can you believe Avon first introduced Skin So Soft in the early 1960’s. Avon’s Skin So Soft is a bath oil, but as with many other products, people have found it useful for other applications.
Ever since it hit the market many decades ago, Avon’s Skin So Soft bath oil has maintained a reputation for repelling ticks, fleas and other insects without the use of harsh chemicals.
Several years ago, Field and Stream magazine recommended mixing 1.5 ounces with a gallon of water and spraying it onto your dog just before heading out. A flea and tick shampoo is made using 1 cup of Skin So Soft and 1/2 cup liquid detergent in 3 gallons of water.
One friend received a similar recipe from her vet recently to treat her dog. Even though Skin So Soft is a bath oil, people continue to use it for pets.
One study showed that Sponging dogs with Skin So Soft Original bath oil resulted in a 40 percent drop in flea infestation, for a limited time.
Since its introduction of the Original Skin So Soft bath oil, Avon has expanded the Skin So Soft line to include new scents, new formulas, body wash, shower gels, and lotions to name a few. Recently Bug Guard has been added to the line up.
