It seems everyone has their own advice, and recommendation when it comes to proper skin care.
When you Google skin care you gonna find tons and tons of information. Each and every company has their recommendations, and it seems every magazine has its own idea of what to use. So what should you do?
Here’s the top 3 things, I believe should be you priority..
1) Stick with one brand. This might seem a bit weird, but it really does make a difference. Since each brand has their own unique combination of ingredients, it only makes sense that the products are created to work together. The other complication is chemical reactions. There is a possibility that different brands might react with each other. WHAT? So there is a possibility that the breakouts you see on your face aren’t from your skin, but merely a reaction from the different brands
2) Clean your face. This might seem like such a simple thing to do, maybe that’s why it’s so hard to do. How many times have you gone to bed at the end of a day without washing up. Well, don’t anymore. First of all think of everything your face is exposed to throughout the day, dust from air when you swept the floor, or dusted the stereo. Oil from frying eggs for breakfast. Chemicals from the steam of the dishwasher, or macaroni you cooked. And what about the general pollution in the air that our face is exposed to 24/7. YUCK. Just the thought of all that stuff on our face make me want to go wash right now. But wait, do spend money on creams or lotions on to help treat wrinkles, acne, or other conditions? Your face must be clean for any of these treatments to be effective.
3) Sunscreen. We all think about putting sunscreen on our shoulders, arms, and legs when we are enjoying the summer sub, but do you think about your face. When it’s summer, the sun is shinning, and it’s warm outside we automatically think about sunscreen. But, what about in the winter when it’s cold outside, or in the fall when we are outside raking leaves, or in the spring planting flowers. Do you think about sunscreen then. Probably not. We don’t think about how much sun our face is really exposed to all year long, not just in the summer. (I’ve always tried to find a foundation with sunscreen on it, to save me a few moments in the morning.)
