Glimmershadow Review

I never thought I’d like a liquid eye shadow, but WOW.  I was really surprised by the new Avon Glimmershadow.  Not only does it go on smooth, but it stays put. And when I say stays put, I mean all day long, without creasing or even fading in color.  In fact at the end of the night, when I go to remove my makeup, it still looks as fresh as when I put it on in the morning. ( Usually about 14 hours later)


If I have one disappointment in the eye shadow it’s probably the “glimmer”.  At my age, I really don’t like the glimmer.  It was fine 30 years so, but in my 50’s I think it’s a bit much.  The most amazing thing is I’ve figured out how to have all the benefits of the liquid eyeshadow, without feeling like it’s a bit much for a grand mother. The glitter effect is probably one of the top complications of all the online reviews.  This can be simply taken care of with layering a powder underneath the liquid.

I also love that I can build the coverage. It can be layered for intense impact or blended out for a delicate effect. It’s Water resistant with all day stay power. It also bosts No crease,No smudge and No transfer.  And probably the best it’s  Paraben- and Sulfate-free.

Now one thing I didn’t show in this video, probably because I hadn’t thought of it, is how to keep the glimmer to a minimum.  Simply put a Powder Eye Shadow. under the Glimmershadow.  Apply the Glimmershadow   then apply another layer of Powder Eye Shadow over the top.  You still get the liquid benefit, but sorta tame down the glimmer effect.
