Footworks Products I use as an RN

I never really thought much about what was involved in caring for your feet, until I began a new position as a Foot Care Nurse. With so many problems associated with feet, especially in elderly feet, it had become a specialty area of focus for more and more RNs.

I’m thankful I’ve been able to incorporate my Avon products into caring for others.

One of the first Avon for creams I began to focus on was the Cracked Heal Cream. I began using it on myself, especially when I stuffed from an ingrown toenail. If you’ve ever had one of these you know how painful they can be. That’s when I discovered that the 4% Lidocaine in Cracked Heal Cream was amazing. It helps to lessen the pain dramatically. I’ve even used it for several clients who have had the same results.

I’m addition to the Lidocaine, there is an Antiseptic in Cracked Heal Cream called BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE 0.13%. that has antimicrobial properties to kill microorganisms and inhibiting their future growth. This helps to prevent any infection that might occur from am ingrown toenail.

I actually mix this oil with a small amount of a Skin So Soft shower gel when I put clients feet in a disposable basin to clean them before treatments begins.
