This popped up this morning 🤔
I’m so totally guilty of this. I have a tendency to overthink almost everything.
Many times this is a good thing. As A friend told me several years ago “I trust you when you tell me something, because I know you do the research before you make a decision”… At the time we were actually discussing which credit card processing company I used, but I find this applies to every aspect of my business, and life.
The problem, at times the overthinking paralyzed me to take action. I would think and rethink a decision so much, that I didn’t make a decision. I’m actually going through this same cycle right now.
We are debating if we should replace our living room carpet with laminate, or carpet. And if we do carpet, which style of carpet do we choose.
Do you sometimes have the same problem? In the past I have missed so many great opportunities because of overthinking, which prevented me from taking action. Sure you should think something though, but you should also take action. Often, taking action without overthinking it first, brings the greatest rewards. At least that has been my experience.
Take my Avon business for example. When I do something without analyzing all the things that could go wrong, but just take action I have my greatest success and greatest rewards. I think so many of us do that. We essentially overthink it so much, that we talk ourselves out of taking a chance. Have you ever thought about starting a new job, or maybe just doing something different? Direct sales with Avon might be the answer you are looking for.
It’s relatively easy ( and inexpensive) to join my team of BlueJean Beauties. Even if your just looking at being your own best customer, and just want to get your stuff at a discount, we have a place for you.
Think about it, but don’t Overthink it. Great leaders are often the ones who take action, while others are studying the consequences.
