With Memorial Day fast approaching and the first weekend of summer camping it’s time to think about those pesky bugs. With so many different insect repellent on the market it is sometimes difficult to decide which one to use. It appears the ones with DEET seem to work the best. But do you really want to put DEET on your skin.
Searching for a DEET free insect repellent can sometimes be a long search and even a costly one. I’ve actually found one that I find effective and also DEET free, and the best part of all it also includes sunscreen.
Bug Guard is a part of the Skin so Soft bath and body line from Avon. The Skin so Soft line has been one of America’s favorite for many years. The bug guard was created from the original Skin so Soft bath oil and includes chemicals such as IR535 and Picardin both of these chemicals are DEET free and have been proven insect repellents.
The bug guard lineup includes aerosol, pump sprays, lotions and even single-use towelettes. In addition to the insect repellent properties the lotions have been dermatological tested and even pediatrician tested. This makes them a safe and effective insect repellent for the entire family.
Don’t take my word for it, according to the reviews on the Avon website, hundreds of reviews have the products 4 & 5 stars.
