3 Days to Better Skin – Day 1

Day One of 3 Days to Better Skin focuses on Prepping your skin. Another way of saying, cleansing your skin.  

In the evening it’s important to cleanse our face to remove all the dirt and grime we get on our skin from the environment.  It also prepares our skin for any treatments or moisturizers, and enhances the effectiveness of those treatments and moisturizers.

There are many types of cleansers, as each has pros and cons.  But the bottom line is, it depends on your personal preference.  We each have our own unique skin care needs, and preferences. 

We have several  choices of cleansers to choose from.  A foam cleanser, is just as the name implies.  It is usually in a pump type of dispenser and comes out in a foam type consistently.

Wipes are often more convenient to use.  Wipes can be used to quickly remove makeup, and are simply tossed when finished using them.  The convenience of use makes them perfect for me to use when camping.

Another cleanser I keep in my camping bag is micellar water.  micellar water is simply water that has tiny micro molecules of oils that attach to dirt and grime so they can be removed from the skin. To use micellar water, simply put on a cotton ball and wipe over your face.

Another type of cleanser is a cream cleanser.  These types of cleansers are usually more moisturizing to the skin, as compared to the soap types of cleansers.  

My personal preference of cleansers changes, deepening on several factors.  Where I am, what type of mood I’m in, as even how tired I am before bed.
