Skin care

I’ve recently been asked by several people “what do I do with all this stuff”…

When caring for your skin there are 4 basic steps

1) cleanse – do this both morning and night

Try one of these Cleansers

2) smooth or treatment- this step might include a serum, line eraser, lifting treatment, and can be the sames or a different treatment for day time or night time.  If your using a treatment to help with lines and wrinkles such as a retinol, or am alpha hydroxy you might want to only use these at nighttime, due to the increase sun sensitivity these can cause.  (if just doing basic skin care this step can be skipped)

Which Treatment is Best for You?

3) nourish or moisturize – this step users a different formula for daytime and nighttime. A daytime moisturizer with sunscreen is my recommendation for everyone.

Choose a Daytime and Nighttime Treatments Created to Work Together

4) restore your eyes – the skin around our eyes is much more delicate and usually requires extra treatment (if just doing basic skin care this step can be skipped).

Which Eye Care should I be using?

So do I follow all the rules all the time? Well let’s be honest, no I don’t.

When we’re out in the woods camping, I usually skip my evening treatment, and eye creams.  But I am one “one of those” that brings facial wipes, nighttime moisturizer, and daytime moisturizer.

I even being foundation, a light mascara and some lip gloss.  Of course my foundation has sunscreen, so that’s my rational reason. But I seriously don’t feel like myself with out a bit of makeup.
